I just got back from another adventure , this time I went back to Ethiopia and visited the south Omo region. I was in Ethiopia nearly 8 years ago and I missed travelling to the south on the first time around and at that time I told myself I would go back.
I'm still in the process of actually seeing al the images for the first time (they were stored on an external for the whole trip and I had no laptop) so I plan on sharing more in the future but please enjoy a few to start and feel free to check out the first blog entry with a few other images from that country.

Absolutely stunning. Would love to see more!
I have a lot more to come in the next few weeks. I got back only 4 days ago and having three small kids and some work and sleep to catch up on is coming first.lol It's amazing how great you feel when you first get home, and how crappy your body feels three days later.haha
Very nice mate...The ones on the blog are great as well.
Looks like you had a fantastic trip and certainly Ethiopia looks like a beautiful and fascinating place.

Gorgeous. Do you travel there on your own, or with a group?
I spent a year in Africa in 2006/07 traveling with my now wife, all by public transport and found ourselves in Ethiopia for 3 weeks purely by chance. ( a layover from madgascar/Nairobi-Addis to Amsterdam). We fell in love with the north and I needed to eventually go back. In all my travels , Ethiopia may be one of the most arduous places to travel by local transport, not hard but long and slow and crowded. I invited my good german friend along on this trip, and he brought two others and we contacted a guiding company that offered us drivers for the trip. It's not the only way to get around, but made seeing more of the country possible in the time we had. Very worth it.

Thank you, Carey. I know a handful of photographers who go to Ethiopia and I would love to get there, eventually. I look forward to more of your photos.

Nice pictures. I like the second one most. Very good theme---strong contrast between the peaceful herd and the man carrying a gun.
It's amazing how fast I stop noticing the guns in most part of Africa that I've traveled to. The Mursi truly carry the guns just as a deterrent form others stealing their cattle but at first look it's a real shock. Thanks for checking it out.

Seems like everyone is going to Africa...
I spent a year in Africa in 2006/2007 and the next year spent a full year in South America. Sub Sahara Africa is a world like no other and I have no words to describe it.
