Will do, I think it's coming by ship not air so it may be another week +

The only suggestion I have it to wipe/rub the contacts on your Commlite and on your lens with an eraser (make sure you blow any rubber particles off before reconnecting everything). This removes a thin layer of oxide so that if you have a marginal connection due to weak springs it might make a difference.

Well, I rented an A7r for the week, and the lenses that did not work (Zeiss ZE21/2.8, Voigtlander 90/3.5), or were intermittent (Canon 70-200/4L IS) with the Commlite adapter on my wife's NEX 5n work fine on the A7r, so I'm quite pleased. I edited my earlier posts to reflect my update.

Fairly new to the thread, purchased a Commlite adapter for my a7s. I wanted to use it with my two ZE lenses 35mm and 135mm. I've found that for video, which is mostly what I use it for, there is no way to adjust the DOF by changing the aperture. Exposure changes but even when I'm at F10 or F16 my DOF looks like it's around F5.6 or F4. The shoot preview button in stills mode allows me to see the correct DOF but it seems that this is impossible for video. Has anyone else had this issue with the adapter?

I use the cheapo Commlite adapter on A7R with ZE Distagon 25/2 and ZE APO Sonnar 135/2.
Everything works perfect for me. No reflections, no shading, EXIF in the raws, focusing wide open, aperture control is perfect, stops down to chosen aperture when shot.
Would buy again without hesitation.
Can't say anything about AF performance, as I have no canon AF lenses.

I picked up the Adolpho and it works fine with my A7r/EF 70-200/4 IS combo. I get the feelings it AF's a little faster but I'll need to do some testing vs the Metabones. I'm not sure how the flare is yet but it lacks the "scoops" that the Metabones have, so I'm not sure it will work so well with TSE lenses without vignetting.

Anyone know of another EF to E-Mount adapter that stops down to the correct aperture when the dial is changed and not when the shutter is pressed like with the Commlite? I find the Commlite useless for video purposes, it seems to work reasonably well for stills.

Isn't that option selectable in the camera's menu?

The Metabones does this in the advanced mode

Green Mode
Autofocus
Stop down when you fire the shutter
No DOF preview
Lower power consumption

Advanced Mode
Auto magnify manual focus assist
Stop down as you turn the aperture dial
Always DOF preview; override with wide-open button
Higher power consumption

I've never shot video (on purpose ) before but I just tested it with a 24mm TSE and it does work

Awesome, thanks so much for the responses! I actually tested the fotodiox adapter ef to sony e mount and it turns out that adapter adjusts the aperture when recording video unlike the Commlite adapter so I'm going to stick with that one and return the Commlite.

Thanks!

I tried one from ebay marked "Auto Focus AF Canon EOS EF EF-S lens to Sony NEX II E Mount Adapter A7R, Lens"

I haven't had a chance to test out much, but here's what I've found:
-There is a poor quality flocking on the inside baffle (it's kind of dark purple.. and more reflective than I would think).
-The baffle is fairly smooth, and doesn't cut down on too many refelections (I have since sprayed with matte black camo paint).
-There are internal areas of the adapter that are bare chrome.. I quickly noticed internal reflections from this which was helped by the camo paint.
-aperture doesn't stop down until a picture is taken
-my 21ZE 2.8 shows up as a max aperture of f/3.5
-works fine with my Makro Planar 100ZE
-300 f/4L doesn't really work most of the time. Although it will work with some combination of poweron, detatch, reattach. Didn't test AF, but IS seems to start when it does recognize the lens.
-Sigma 50/1.4 HSM EX (non-ART) doesn't autofocus
-135 2L functions (AF and correct aperture)
