I set up my Canon 6D's wifi with my iPhone 5 a few weeks ago, and it was working well. However, today, when I tried to use the remote shooting feature on the app, I ran into some wifi problems. To make a long story short, I need the encryption key to access my Canon 6D's wifi network. However, I can't find the encryption key anywhere on my 6D and a quick Google search rendered nothing about this. Does anyone know where I can find my 6D's encryption key so that I can connect my iPhone to my 6D? Or is there a way to reset the wifi setup so that I can start over again?
I don't think the 6D has an encryption key. You need the encryption key of the wifi network you are connecting to. I set my 6D up, but I have forgotten the details. If you are still stuck, I will try try to resetup my 6D.
Are you using the iPhone app, or are you using the iPhone to be a wifi hub, and then using EOS Remote a laptop. I have done it both ways. I like using my MacBook for remote, as it is a much bigger screen for focusing.

The 6D provides an encryption key during the initial wifi setup, which is then used in the iPhone as the 6D's wifi network's password. For whatever reason, my 6D's wifi network kicked out my password/encryption key and now prompts me to re-enter it. Unfortunately, I can't find the encryption key anywhere on the 6D. Do you know how to re-setup my 6D? I couldn't find anything on the 6D or on the Internet in regards to re-setting up my wifi connection.
I'm using the iPhone app. I like using the iPhone since I often use it as a shutter trigger when I do long exposure landscape photos.
Menu
wifi - enable
wifi - function
scroll to mobile phone icon/set
review/change settings/set
change set/set/ok
man connect/set/ok
menu/ok
AES/set/ok
encryption key
Looks like you can change the encryption key on this last screen. My setup is working, so I did not want to break my setup for a test.
Hope this helps for you. I am using the Android version of EOS Remote.
Feel free to PM if still stuck. No one else seems to care about this thread.

Thank you very much for your help! Your instructions helped me fix the wifi connection between my 6D and phone.
