First - don't know if this is the right sub-forum, if not - sorry.

The mother of a friend died very quickly - 1� months after she was diagnosed.
He asked if I wanted to photograph the funeral.

First of I wanted to decline. Never did that before and didn't know even where to start.

Shot with a 200mm L and 17-85mm. from the back of the church. Didn't want to intrude too much.

(Yes, there is a selective coloring photo also!)

At first I thought this might be weird, but it looks fine. #5 is crooked. Tastefully done IMO. FWIW

Yes indeed a very tough subject with lots of weird looks etc.

And another thing - rented the 70-200mm L lens. Why does it have to be so EXTREMELY paparazzi looking!!! Can't blend in AT ALL with that huge white lens!!
Make it black with a white ring on it or something...

Yes of course - shot it with a Canon 60D with a 200mm and 17-85mm. No flash at all, being a funeral and all.

I don't quite understand what the first picture is about?

Number three has a very tiny branch sticking out on RHS in the middle of the edge.

You did an exceptional job with the available light, and your areas of focus were very well chosen.

Nice work on an assignment I couldn't have done.

Tough subject matter and I think you did very well. I shot my step fathers memorial when he passed last year and for those who were unable to attend they appreciated seeing the photos.
