Thanks a bunch. Disappointed in myself on cutting his hands off, the EOS-M isn't the most responsive and still getting used to framing without a viewfinder.

Zalmy, that spring cleaning one is wonderful.
Dave, love the pancake baby.
Plan, the great grandfather one is going to be a treasure.
Ben, your stuff is really good and consistently getting better. Did you change your color processing? I don’t really remember you posting much in color, but it works.

^^ Thanks Dave - I posted a couple of shots from my good ole 5d (as opposed to my fuji). Processed from Raw, so that is probably the color difference you are seeing.

Some GREAT moments in this thread! Here are a few of my life...

1. About 8 hours after open heart surgery. This is ALL that would comfort her. She was on a variety of pain meds but she kept grunting and moaning until her mommy picked her up and held her.

2. A few months prior she attended a birthday party and the kids were allowed to pick a stuffed animal to take home as a thank you. She took "puppy" and it's been one of 3 favorite stuffed animals ever since. I felt like puppy needed to look over her while we all slept (still brings tears to my eyes to think about that night). So... there's puppy, nearby but in the shadows, making sure Kyla is safe.

3. We were told to expect a 5-7 day recovery in the hospital. She was discharged and home 72 hours after surgery, only needing OTC pain meds that night to go to sleep, otherwise no additional pain meds after leaving the hospital. The team behind her was UNBELIEVABLE but mostly, it was her will to press forward that got her out of there so fast. We were told to expect that she'd take her first after-surgery steps about 24-72 hours after surgery and even then it would only be about half of a hallway's worth - 24 hours after surgery (only 2 hours after discontinuing 1 of her pain meds that also acted as a sedative), she wanted to walk and she did 3 laps around the recovery floor (12 hallways). She was up again 2 hours later and did another lap. We were home for 2 days and the grandparents were constantly calling for updates and I assured them that 95% of the time it was like nothing ever happened but they didn't seem to believe me. So, I snapped this picture to set their minds and hearts at ease...

4. It's been a little over a month since she's been home and... SHE... IS... AWESOME!

(cut off her foot, but whatever...)

I don't know how I have missed this thread, but the work in it is fantastic. I've attached some images that I've taken in the past few months. I've got better examples, but this is all I have on my work computer right now .

This is definitely one of the most memorable threads that I've seen on FM to date. I am a sucker for sentimental images. Great work all around, guys!

Not sure adding a picture of a dog crapping lifts the family thread much ...

I can see how you might say that. When I am working nights, she is the first to greet me in the morning and we spend a few minutes outside. Some mornings the light is great and I grab camera. If it offends anyone I can certainly remove it.

This is a great example of "the best camera is the one you have."
I walked in on my wife (who is weeks away from our due date) doing her pregnancy yoga DVD and noticed our 4 year old daughter participating as well. I would have loved to had time to get my X-E2 but knew the picture was fleeting and snapped this with my iPhone.

my boys are having conversations like "hey dominic, do you want to go in the yard after dinner and have a catch?" "definitely! can you grab my glove...I'm going to get changed."
