Thanks, John. They are definitely a challenge to shoot. Sometimes a slower shutter speed provides a wonderful result with these guys.

Hi, BeeBalm. I had a terrific time shooting these guys. Wish I could provide an answer on the species. We had a bird guidebook. But, some are so close in appearance to another, it's very difficult to identify. They're reportedly are over 50 species in Costa Rica.
