I bought mine as a refurb from Adorama and they are fixing it as we speak. Today my status has gone from SHOP to BILLING. so maybe it has been repaired and awaiting shipment. Here's hoping

I talked to Nikon Service today. According to what I was told, they have a pretty big backlog in service right now. Especially the left coast repair facility. I sent mine last Tuesday and I was told not to expect mine to be checked in to service before Friday. Obviously, at this time, the one week turn around is out of the question.

Nikon at Melville received my D600 on Monday March 3d. I just got notification today that UPS has my package and it will be delivered on Mar 17th. So Nikon had my camera for 8 days. I'm so glad I sent it in early and I can't wait too get it back!

It will depend on how many are ahead of you when they receive it. 10 days or so seems average. They will usually change out the shutter. If they discover something else, it will be fixed.

I just sent in a D600 last Friday to the Los Angeles service center for the service advisory. They checked it in Monday, it was fixed by Tuesday and they shipped it back on Wednesday and I got it back Thursday. Cleaned inside and out and new shutter. Under a week including shipping...
