1 and 4 are my favorites and the Hana area of Maui is also my favorite place in the islands.
Thanks Ben! Loved Hana and wish I would have known that before we booked our trip. I would have spent the majority of our time over there. Loved Hamoa beach!

Yup, I need to visit Hawaii this year! All great shots, 1 being my fave. Is your wife making you print #4?
My wife tolerates my landscapes, but she really wants photos of the kids. I'm thinking I can convince her to get a nice large print done of that one

Love No.2. A very calm shot with beautiful florescent colours.
Ya, that was my favorite as well. I have a lot of different angles of that waterfall, but that one seems way more peaceful.

Hey Corey,
I will agree with your wifes choice! #4 is really very cool. With #3, I would use a layer mask and adjust the tone of the ground separate from the sky so it's not quite so magenta. And with #1, which would be my other favorite, the processing isn't quite working for me. It has fantastic potential, but it seems like there are too many areas where it's too hot and was blown out. Also, I think a slightly faster shutter speed would have worked there. To have allowed water motion but not turn so much into water mush if you will. Anyway, I like the potential of it, but if it was mine I would do a redo on it.

Thanks Jim! I will definitely tone down the magenta. I had a lot of trouble taking #1. The wind was blowing the mist right onto my lens. I didn't realize it was affecting the image quality that much. I cleaned it once or twice as I was shooting, but lost a LOT of shots. Even this one needs much more work I agree to increase the contrast and eliminate the water spots on a lot of areas. Thanks for the great critique. I am going to go back through and look for some better water. I bracketed a lot of images, but ended up with a lot of water shots that were much too blurred out.

Beautiful set. Hard to pick a favorite here. Looking forward to more.
I have lots to post! Will probably just link to my exposure page when I get it done. Thanks for the feedback!

Looks like you found Hahalewe waterfall. Nice.
Not sure of the name... Which one? Thanks!

Extraordinary set! Ironic how a place with such violent origins becomes so peaceful and beautiful.
Thanks! Ya, definitely violent. Was reading up on the history of the islands as well. At least now it feels like one of the safest places I have travelled to. Feels safer than home.
