These are good. 3&4 in particular. I went to your flickr and there is an over the shoulder one of your niece and her friend that was exceptional too. Well done.

Thanks Prettym1k3, nothing special about the light in 1 and 2, just a single B1600 at full power.
Thanks Herb! She just wanted to have her pics taken at Napa, no particular reason.
I'm very curious, when you use your B1600 outdoors, do yo use a modifier at all or just the reflector? where do you position your light? camera right straight at your subject on axis or do you bring it up and angle it down at all?
Yes, I usually use a beauty dish that's socked. Positioning depends on the time of day and where the sun is. But I usually position it counter to the sun to fill in shadows, held high and angled dow somewhat. Thanks nextel!
Usually if I make a comment I like to have a suggestion as well....in this I don't know what I would do different, but in 2 & 5 her arms are at her side......as I have been looking at photos on the site and reading comments I am far more aware than I ever was before about position etc.....her arms hanging at the side look like she was there for a photo.....as opposed to a photo that was very interesting about her (if that makes any sense).
I would want to poise her differently.......but with no suggestions, I am looking for suggestions....how might the poise particularly her arm position make the photo even more interesting than it is now......question to all......
