It's hard to believe that it's only 10K! But I guess when there's only quality images those linger longer in the memory banks. I remember someone asking about a 300 paired with a 1.4tc and how that would work out....well, it has been a brilliant marriage in your hands. I really know I'm in for a treat when I see your name as the poster....each image is deftly taken and presented.
Your 40 for 10K is a nice retrospective but I can imagine how difficult it must have been to omit so many of your truly great shots especially over the last few years.
My only request is you get to 20K faster!

I'm not sure it would have made any difference what you had said when I asked for your advice on the 420mm combo... but thanks a ton for the validation.
Yes it was difficult to choose only 40 images, but these are longtime or instant favorites so it was easier than I thought it was going to be. I can't even begin to imagine how tough it would be for you to choose 400 favorites... let alone 40.
Thanks so much for the really generous and kind words my friend, I really appreciate them all. And thank you for being such a valuable member of this community in so many ways, especially your excellent work from Africa, I never get tired of seeing your beautiful big cats. Your consistent ability to make me laugh with your titles, captions, and comments is always great fun.
Thanks so much for the wonderful words BeeBalm, they are greatly appreciated.

Congrats on the big post numbers Kirk! A most excellent set. Quite a number of top notch images. Very inspiring. Although it is almost an injustice to say I have favorites in such a strong mix, I will say I love 20, 26, & 34. I would be bragging about those for years!!!
Thanks so much for the very kind and encouraging words Ken, they are greatly appreciated.
Really appreciate the picks too, I always like learning which images touch other photographers.
