Quick question.. Does anyone know if the distance between sensor and mount would allow for someone to make a Contax645 adapter for the Pentax645Z?
I've tested out quite a bit of Pentax lenses, and prefer the look I get out of the 45/80/140 Contax lenses.

Sony could conceivably do this- make an 'A9' mirrorless MFD camera. Of course, it'd need lenses, and Sony can barely service the A7 let alone the A7R...
It takes time to develop high quality lenses. I think it would make sense to use their own MF sensor in new line of cameras. With greater volume mean lower prices for each sensor produced. There are demands for high resolution and high quality sensors. If Sony made an A9 and sold it for $4000, I think they're well on their way to capture and dominate the MF market.

I think if Sony made an A9 so to speak, Zeiss would happily make a few MF lenses.. In fact, they already have quite a few good designs, an updated casing and AF motor would be the easy part.
