Thanks to Samyang, I don't need to own the CZ AS135 but recognize it as the superior lens overall. I did just discover that it elongates quite a bit at MFD, and that the focus ring also moves forward, revealing extended DOF tick marks—looks like a mechanical design from 1950! The Rok135 has modern internal focus, a focus throw of 180° and a quite usable DOF scale: all factors worth a top grade from me. Even ignoring price, these lenses present a vexing choice.

i've tried this and found it a bitch to focus (i'm using the EVF). ergonomics is also not good; it felt like it's going to damage my lens mount.
i'm on the verge of selling mine...it's a great glass but it has found very little use.
This^^ I fully agree. One of hardest focus lenses I ever used for manual focus. It combines fat barrel with ultra smooth focusing make it hard to control for track focus.

Internal focus is nice in that the lens stays the same size, but it does have a down side. The focal length of the lens actually becomes shorter as you approach minimum focus distance. That is no big deal if the shortening of the focal length is small, but in some lenses it is shortened quite a bit and that can be troubling at times (at least to me).
