Excellent WIF shots. I've never seen the Eurasian version. We get lots of the American during spring migration. We do have records of the Eurasian being seen. Nice find though as they are spotty all over NA but not true residents.
You had some great light for these, contrast and colours are awesome. My favourites of the set are #3 and #6.

Super work Jim. The excellent techs on these set them apart from most duck shots. It seems here most large flocks of the American W's has one Eurasion in amongst them It makes the birders go nuts I love the stacked flyers in the last, that is on cool shot
Where in the Bay Area did you see this magnificent wigeon? The Americans are really common but I have only seen a Eurasian once. That was at Miller/Knox Regional Park but sadly my camera was in live view mode while I was trying to shoot it. Great set!!!! I especially love #5.
