Excellent set, Kirk! I'll go with 1 and 3 for my picks, but they are all stellar images. Well done!
I recommend you continue to feed this pond addiction - it's producing some amazing results.
I'm curious how the rest of the reflection of the merg in #5 looked...you teased us with just the wing
Jim
I will continue to feed my addiction Jim, and thank you so much for the picks and very encouraging words.
The rest of the reflection was too distorted and distracting IMO so I chose to crop it out... I'm not a big fan usually of reflection shots unless it's really nice.

You're the master at catching those super fast waterfowl and waders in flight, Kirk! That merganser shot is just a killer! Hard to pick any favs, though, they're all that good!
Humble thanks for the very nice words Mitesh, much appreciated.
I was so fortunate that I noticed the very rare Merganser landing to my right, I fired a few static shots and was ready when she blasted off and flew right in front of me.
Nice, Kirk.
I've never seen a Merganser at the pond before.
You know, there's a 12 step program for that, don't you?
But it only works if you WANT to be cured.

Beautiful set Kirk. Love the Osprey, and that last one is, well, outstanding. Looks like you cropped it - is there any more of the reflection you can share with us
Gero
Thanks for the very kind words Gero, much appreciated.
I did crop out the rest of the reflection because it was too distorted in the water and detracted from the image IMO.
I have another frame I like with more reflection that I will post later on in another thread.

Amazing shots, Kirk! Hey, if I lived near the pond, I'd be an addict too! Nothing wrong with that! You got a great shot of the Merganser, btw!
Thanks so much Linda... at least I'm willing to admit I have a problem... hmmm, let's call it a passion... that sounds better.
The Mergie flyby was such a nice bonus that morning... when are you going to post yours
Thanks again, see you next time.

I really hate to tell you this Ken... but that Mergie showed up less than 30 minutes after you left.
I've been convinced to keep feeding the addiction... and I've decided to call it a passion instead because that sounds so much healthier.
Thanks for the good words and it was nice to see you out shooting. Be well.
