Cool image! BTW, was this taken with the FE mount version of the 14mm or did you use the Metabones III? I tried my EF mount of the Rokiyang 14mm with Metabones III on the A7r and it was SUPER soft in the frame edges. The lens is usually tack sharp on my 5DII.
How cool is this! The darker salt flats are really working with that fire in the sky you got. Good job on getting this, sometimes 2 mins is all we get to shoot the color before it's gone, it's great you got this.
Jim
Thanks Jim,
I remember once we were both in DV and I was minutes too late for a great dawn morning. Lucky you were there and was able to capture an amazing sky at Badwater.

Thanks Dimitri.
This was taken with the Sammy 14 f/2.8 Canon version via Merabones adapter.
If you are getting soft corners you may have a tilted mount adapter. I went through four adapters and only one was correctly centered.
Do a resolution test with other wide angle lenses. The tilted mount issue may not be noticeable in normal or telephoto lenses but it is amplified with ultra wide angles.

Awesome Fred. The fiery horizon really stands out. Can't wait for your A7R review. How's it coming along?
Dakel,
I was working on the review today. It should definitely be finished by next week. I was able to get to know the camera for over a month and can already share that I'm impressed with it.
Best,
Fred
