Three shots from the Dead Vlei one morning. (Namib-Naukluft National Park.) Was there for a few days enjoying the scenery with friends. Interesting place to visit, as is most of southern Africa. With relatives in Cape Town, South Africa makes a nice starting point for travel in the area.
Very interesting place and one that I'd love to photograph. I think that #3 may be the most successful in many ways, including its greater avoidance of "collisions" between the branches of primary adjacent trees.

They are all unique and strong on their own. I particularly like the tree arrangement on #3.

I think we can definitely mark this place as an icon. But unlike some people I don't have anything against icons . I really like the 3rd one, the light and placement of the trees is the best.
