Thank you everyone. It was one of this moments when I was hiking in whiteout conditions. I almost gave up and turned around when wind pushed clouds away for a moment. It was around 5 minutes before I could barely see where I was going.
Really well done. I have to agree with some of the other responses. The tree and the snow are interesting, but it's their juxtaposition against that smooth gradient of a background that really makes the image. Well seen, captured, and processed.
I am enjoying the depth in this image and the sheer simplicity. Color balance is exquisite, the dash of greens are delightful as is the steel gray/blue BG sky. Even the little imprint to the lower right where the snow blew down is a great element............This is a wonderful image

This image was taken with Nikon D800 and 24mm lens f14 1/8 sec ISO 100. Single image no blending. Tripod of course (some times it is tricky to set up in the deep snow).
