I hope it's okay to cross-post, as I post of my work in the people forum, I figured I'd share these here also.
I'd love some C&C if you've got any
I really love the sun for wedding portraiture. Seems more bright and happy (yet still sensual), then the usual more demure softer lit ones (not that one is better than the other).
The second one, the background has a very interesting painterly effect to it. My only suggestion is to bring down the highlights in the dress so we can see the texture of the dress in the sunlit areas as well as over to the side in the shadows. That dress' texture is very cool, I would want it in the pic.
Ron, there actually is detail everywhere (nothing is blown) it's just some parts are out of focus. I could bring it down more, but that would take a rescan...
I love the soft detail in the dress of the second shot. Is that a tilt shift or large format that you are able to control the focal plane like that? Beautiful what ever it is.
You caught the light beautifully in both shots. Natural Rembrandt in #2 and well, not sure what the term is for#1 but I like it a lot. If I could only put one of them on my wall I'd go for the bw.
Both of these are gorgeous Zalmy. 1 fits my personal preference more and is beautifully executed. 2 is a pretty, light, delightful portrait that shows off nice tones and nice range in what looks to be tough light; she's going to love both.
