I'll let him know The kid liked it and that's really all that matters
Dude, I am pretty sure you're joking but just in case, PLEASE don't tell an 8 year old kid that some random forum guy said his hat sucks. The douchebaggery on my part would be more than I could bear

Ha! Yeah, of course I was kidding It does kind of stick out, and for editorial or fine art that would be a no-no, but as a memory for the family it's perfect.
there's no point in me looking at any more posts tonight. This wins the internet. Zalmy, I think you are a great shooter and I feel like this set is exactly why I feel that. Absolutely perfect. Really bro, amazingly gorgeous all the way through

You killed this buddy. Really good mix of lifestyle, portraits, landscape, semi-epic, unique composition, and classical comps, etc. with tons of love throughout.
I wonder if shots like 25 and 27 are going to give people a different impression of your typical work. They are really good, but might lead potential clients astray if they convince themselves that most of your work is smaller people, environmental stuff.

Amazing set! I love all of them. Ignore the negative comments, sometimes the story being told and the emotion the viewer feels from looking at a photo is more important than photographic technicalities. One thing I've learned from this forum for the length of time I've been here.....sometimes the harshest critiquers suck at photography.

That was really wonderful to scroll through. Such raw emotion between a mother and her son. In the beginning, I was a little concerned by some flaws (such as motion blur, blown out highlights, etc), but it completely went out the window when I saw how well these moments were captured. What a great story. Thank you for sharing.

Dentx, the negative comments amuse me, they don't annoy me at all. If it were serious critique I'd pay attention, but people like ticking off a mental list everything here that the textbooks listed as no-nos. Though I do feel bad for those making the comments, they have no clue about photography or how to have a normal conversation on the interwebz.

I don;t think they'd lead anyone to think I photograph a different way unless just seen on their own, outside of a specific portfolio or set...
I don't really think that it would lead them astray (and didn't explain it terribly well), but just thinking about why you're not getting a good stream of your type of clients. You have a very specific niche, but the LBC and LA in general should be big enough for lots of ideal fits.

Oooooh. Got it I just need to figure out how to get people to see my work.
