You will probably get your card before they change the status. I got my last rebate in about 2 weeks after they received it. I got the card before they changed the status, so I was surprised when it was it the mail.
The point of a rebate, aside from info farming, is that a good amount of people will be motivated by the rebate to purchase an item they may not be ready to purchase.....and then forget to send it in.
