I recently won an ebay auction for the 50 f/1.4. I'd like to show some comparison shots of a bench with lots of leaves. This is the MC version of the lens serial 9xxxxx.
No 3 f/1.4 - I tamed the vignetting down here, there was more straight out of the camera. I also adjusted the oranges different here to make them pop more.
If you mean the EF 24mm, I've never had one of those.
While I have one, I've not done any direct side-by-side comparisons with the FDn 24mm f/2.8.
They're both pretty good on film. On digital I tend to use the Oly more on the 5D and the FD more on m4/3. My gut feeling is that the FD has lower distortion than the OM, but that the OM is a little sharper.
The OM 24 is tiny, but I find Canon's lens hoods easier to live with than the screw in metal ones Olympus use, even if the Canon ones are more likely to fall off.
I'm itching to purchase a Sony A7 and put them up against each other on FF digital.
Great cat portrait Dave! Gotta love the Oly 50 1.4. The Christmas tree and the fireplace really set the mood here. How do you get your cats to pose for photos? Our cat rarely cooperates; she thinks we're her humans!

David,
This is actually my in-laws cat. He's still fairly young (5 yrs old), but has enough patience to stay still.
I encouraged him to sit on the ottoman and he stayed still long enough for me to position myself to get both the Christmas tree and fireplace in the shot and pull the manual focus.
