Kodak used to make and sell a special flat black paint that is/was used on the inside of aircraft instruments. I have an old bottle from years ago somewhere in my old storage chest. Probably dried out by now. Maybe its still available?

I don't know which paint you are going to use, but if you are painting bare metal you may need to apply primer 1st, otherwise the paint will peel very easily.
The paint I will use is mentioned in my previous post, Tetenal Kameralack Spray #105202. The inside of the adapter is plastic, not metal. I will test the paint on the back of the part I will paint first, of course, don't want to end up with paint chips on the sensor

After trying 5 adapters with my ultra wide angles, I concluded that we won't have perfect alignment. However, my best adapter is not that much different than my worse when shooting a "real world" picture. (instead of test charts)
I would not worry too much but would get the highest quality adapter available. Currently the best I have seen for Canon lenses is the Metabones.
I will be taking the A7R for a real landscape shooting soon.
I keep seeing so many different adapters available, could you please give us a link to your preferred adapter from A7R to Canon EOS lenses
None of the adverts I see specificlly specify that they are for the A7R, They all say some version of NEX.
Thanks
Paul

As tsdevine wrote, the Metabones v3 is the best adapter for full frame EF-E-mount currently available.

Any one ever wet cleaned his A7R sensor ? Got a few specs, shooting right now around f/11 f/13 in studio (raining storm here :/). I have sensor swab for FF, eclipse etc. Just wanted to hear from others before killing my sensor lol !
Just wet cleaned mine with eclipse and sensor swabs-- by far the easiest sensor to clean I've ever dealt with.

I haven't wet cleaned my A7R Sensor but i've tried the Eyelead Sensor Gel Stick for the first time.
The use of this product is really simple and without any risk. The cleaning took me less than 5 minutes and i am impressed by the results.

Nice cleaning!
I am confused about the use of this camera. I am interested due to the high pixel and multiple lens use but what is the deal with longer lenses? Does it work or not and is mainly just a normal to wide angle use camera body??

Hi John,
I agree with you on both counts; (i) nice cleaning by Achim, and (ii) I'm confused about this camera.
I would intend to use it for scenic, architecture, product, and still life photography. I would use manual focus lenses, most often with tilt and/or shift movements, with focal lengths from 17mm to 150mm.
Currently, my confusion is focused on two issues: (i) "shutter slap" IQ degradation for slow shutter speeds, and (ii) "lossy" compression of RAW files, which appears to contradict the meaning of "RAW".
