So I'm a little confused here the A7R is compatible with Full Frame E-mount lens will my existing e-mount lens such as 55-200, 50 1.8, 35 1.8 etc work or will the existing e-mount glass hinder the resolution of the full frame sensor

I think it's a pretty good design. Not enough to make me jump from M4/3, but the price point is quite attractive.
But why not put Steadyshot in the body?
Look how large the silver SSS unit around the sensor for the A99 is. It is much easier to implement this on a smaller sensor, if you want to keep a small camera body:

The camera will auto-crop an aps-c sized portion of the frame, so it'd be just like shooting the NEX-5N. Or, you can turn that feature off, and there will be heavy vignetting.

If its similar to the NEX sound I can see why it'd be labelled loud. While it may not be in terms of volume, the actual sharpness of the NEX shutter sound tends to be more pronounced than, say a 1Ds..
Definitely more noticeable in an echo-y room.

I've read some reviews which stated that "loud" is subjective. Its loud compared to a leaf shutter RX1, but I've also read it is still quieter than some DSLR's.

I think it was a very good move from Sony to have some high quality Zeiss lenses available immediately. The first samples are very good because of this and that's a good start.

And I can't help wondering what my Leica APO lenses will do on the 7r.
Doug,
Providing I do in fact keep my Pre-order, I will see what I can do. But, I am not sure if I will have any bird photos with the 280mm f4 Apo Telyt. I am somewhat out of practice and do not have any blinds in the area. But, Landscapes, I think that one I will be able to provide, but it will be sometime before we receive our cameras.

That might explain why the A7r is so loud. There is a huge difference in shutter noise on my 5N when using both curtains vs just the second curtain.
1.22Md, just means a regular 921kd LCD with the addition of white dots to improve brightness. So it's 4 dots rather than three dots and res has not improved.

So the more I read and see, the more I feel this urge to just go pre-order. Then I come back to reality. For instance, I have my Fuji X-E1 with 35/1.4 sitting in front of me. This is a stellar combo, with outstanding image quality. The A7 probably has slightly better high ISO. The 55/1.8 is probably a little sharper at wide apertures than the 35/1.4.
Is the A7 + 55/1.8 combo better than my X-E1 with 35/1.4? Yes. It probably is. I spent $1300 on my X-E1 + 35/1.4. The A7 with 55/1.8 is $2,700. Is it $1,400 better? Eh....
I paid $1,300 for that combo, $700 for my 55-200 and $900 for my 14/2.8. So for only $200 more than the A7+55/1.8 combo, I got the X-E1, a fantastic fast normal, a truly outstanding super-wide and a truly excellent telephoto zoom. This covers 21-300mm in FF focal length and produces extremely high image quality. For $200 more than the A7 with one normal prime.
I'm an enthusiast photographer...I'm not printing 50" art prints or satisfying clients with the utmost in picture perfection. And yet, somehow, my brain is telling me 'do it!'

You're never going to have FF lenses compete in size with smaller formats. If you do, the apertures will be so slow that one has to wonder what the point is. Rather than looking up in size from the plethora of small format system cameras out there, the A7 is aimed at DSLR users looking down to it, because there will still be an overall size and weight advantage with the system, and you can use virtually any lens ever made on it.
Some want smaller, and some want smallest. The A7 is smaller. That's basically it.
