Hi Lisa, love your work again. It seems that all I say in your posts.
I recall there was a time when you said that your 70-200 F/2.8L II was glued to your camera, but it seems now you are mostly shooting primes.. What are your thoughts of the zoom vs say the 85L & 200L etc ? Would you still prefer to use a zoom for particular situations?

Lisa, you are an "Old Master" of photography.
I've never, ever, ever seen such beautiful images and such mastery of light, subject placement and technique as those so evident in all your posts.
We are indeed fortunate not only to have you as a member whose posts we all admire and regard as inspiration, but also to read your so gracious and generously helpful comments and responses.
Your photography sets the standard, for me, anyhow, as what one can achieve with tools, dedication and imagination.
And lastly, your clients will no doubt cherish forever the images you create for them.

Congrats on the featured Thread win Lisa! What a beautiful set of photos. You really worked the light and got just amazing expressions from these families.
2 Questions, and hopefully they don't sound too dumb. Are you using a reflector to reflect light back into the faces on these shots, or some of the shots? And 2nd, what fstop are you using with these?

Thanks so much guys! So to answer some of the questions here...
Rob, I still love my 70-200L II. It's an amazing lens. I think I just go through phases - the 200L is a new toy so it is spending a lot of time on my camera. That said, I have no plans to part with the 70-200 as it is definitely a more versatile lens, especially for groups, and if I am shooting in an area where I don't have a literal football field of space to work with. lol
Jim - no, no reflector, just natural light. Which photo would you like to know the F-stop of? It might be easier to check them out on 500px as all of the efix data should be listed.

Thanks for the information. I will go check out the links on 500px.
As for the fstop, I was thinking more in general. As I have seen many threads here where people are shooting with an 85mm f1.4 say for example and they are talking about how cool it is shooting at f1.4 for the limited DOF. Are you shooting wide open like that "normally" or do you find yourself shooting more in the f5.6 to f8 range? Course, I guess when I go over to 500px and check out the links my question will probably be answered there....

I am sure she has a formula. Like wide open or close to wide open for single subjects. 2.8-3.5 for couples. 4-5.6 for families. Etc.

It honestly just depends on so many things - how I have them posed, what lens I'm shooting with, whether it's more of a close-up or an environmental shot, etc etc. I've shot families wide open at 2.8 if they are all lined up holding hands, and I've closed down to 5.6 or even more if I have them staggered and am shooting close-up. Just depends.
