spectacular!!!! you find a mount to have both lens's on a mono/tripod at the same time? been trying to noodle one for the sideline these are really great
Thanks for the comment. No lens mounted mono or tripod. This is shooting from a blind, so both lenses rest on their hood until they are picked up.

Both great but #1 is really special. How can this bird capture a dozen krill and keep them in its mouth all at once?
Simply amazing!
Dave
Hi Dave, thanks for the comment. The puffin has hooked barbs on the roof of it's top mandible. It uses it's tongue to apply pressure on the krill onto these barbs as it opens up for another one.

Herb,
I LOVE your first capture so much!!
Any cropping on it?
Did you blow it up 20x30?
I sure would!!!
I can't waitt to photograph them!! Need one for my wall.

Thanks BB, No 20 x30's yet. But I did sell a bunch of 16 x 20's of that shot. No crop on either shot, both are full frame.

wow - great stuff herb! i love the water on these guys, it really gives them a great sense of authenticity, like they really worked to catch all that food!

Thanks Dorian. The puffin can dive up to 200 feet deep to catch it's food, so yes I guess they do work pretty hard to catch their food.
