Wow, what a great set to enjoy, Dorian. Love your presentation so that I know more about shorebirds.
Great lighting, nice reflection, sharp and detail are well captured by you. Excellent work.

thanks tam, i am glad to see that you enjoyed them. now you gotta go out and find that rare shorebird that hiding with the masses of the more common ones!

Wow, what a ridiculously good set Dorian. The shorebirds are moving through here as well right now but they're tough to see through the mosquitoes. I wish I could get even a small percentage of these images!
Cheers,
Harry C
thanks harry! yeah, i wonder what the ratio of bug bites to photos is, its gotta be at least 100:1!

Dorian, very well done with this very nice variety.
Super post.
Chris
thanks for the kind words chris. now i need some of your euro shorebirds to appear over here. i did find a curlew sandpiper the other day. it was too far away for photos, but i scored big points with the others birders around here!

Great information Dorian. Even better pictures. You are right about the last grouping. Best for last. Some real stunners in that group. Well done, but I reserve the right to forget everything I've learned about the field ID tips. Don't see these guys often enough. Spotted sandpiper is pretty exotic most days.
thanks ken. spotted sandpiper is one that i have only photographed once. man, they fly away as soon as i turn my attention to them!
You have some great compositions and there all nice and sharp. The whites are a problem in some.
Morris
thanks morris! yeah, i have to jump into the ocean to get cleaned off once i'm done. i'm looking at the whites in a few of the photos (notably the least sandpiper), so i'll keep you posted.

Dorian- this is such a rich selection of incredibly good images that I'm exhausted from having so much enjoyment .
Charlie
don't wear yourself out charlie, you need energy to continue posting you own images for me to enjoy!
