2 is a stunner in that light bro
On one hand it's dissapointing there are so few Hummer friendly plants in the garden this year, on the other hand it sure cuts down on the running 3 beauties Tim, super motion conveyed in each and a great perspective on the little pudgy in #4

Greenie town is kind of quiet this year, maybe due to the construction I hope not

3-4 Ironically earlier when more flowers were out the hummers were extremely difficult, they are real spooky this year Now that the flowers have died off some we have a fighting chance!

Wonderful set (as usual), Tim. My favorite is the GH...there's something about the interplay of lines (beak, branch, back) and background that seems both intriguing and appealing. I guess Karl's concern could be addressed by fiddling a bit more in post, but only if the DOF extends from the plane of the perch to the plane of the beak (I think it does but I can't quite tell for sure).

Thank you very much Greg! I do agree with you and Karl on the face of the GH, to my eye that wasn't the real focal point of the shot, maybe it should have been

Super set, Tim.
I like the pose of the Green Heron a lot and you made the barn swallow image look easy.
Well, got to love those Anna's Hummer.
Chris
Thanks for all the nice comments Chris, glad you like them
Tim- I'm sure glad there are enough really knowledgeable photogs around here to give constructive criticism to other really knowledgeable photogs; because all I can do when I see such amazing images as these is to say something really profound- like "swell pictures."
Luckily, these really ARE swell .
