Wow... you are making me think that I need to swing up to Oregon to shoot fall color as I am out hitting the fall color trail. This shot just really shines, great composition and the smattering of leaves are great. When was this taken?
Awesome buddy. The misty background and lighting is nice in this shot. When do the fall colours usually hit down there? Im guessing a bit later then here (late September-early October)
Fall colours hit maybe around early November, but just depends on the year. Last year is wasn't the best, as it was dry for so long that the leaves just kind of went from green to dead lol.

It's a very striking image. My first impression was whoa, there's a lot going on there. I think it works once you have time to let it all sink in. The foreground makes for a good home-base for the eye. I feel like I'm in a comfortable niche looking out into some kind of wonderland. Very complex composition, but I say you pulled it off
