Congratulations Tim! Great post and a very fitting image to celebrate your achievement. I for one, and i'm sure many others will agree, think this is a better place for having you around. You are right to thank Fred .... we all should, but I'd like to extend my thanks to you too buddy
David
Wow, I post wayyyy too much (but mine are mostly not shots, so that is how becomes too much, picture posts from you are never too much) and have but a fraction of 40,000. I think you must be 40,000.
I might be 40,000, you should see me first thing in the morning Thanks a bunch for the nice words!
I didn't want to spoil your secret but I can't help myself. Of course since it rains here so much, there's really nothing better to do than sit at a computer all day and post to message boards or ... get out and make pictures under the world's largest diffuser.
Anyway, 40K is a lo-oong ways from where I'm sitting. And I'm glad you've been around to represent the 206.
Congrats,
Glenn
You have that right Glenn! The worlds biggest diffuser, you mean the dull dishwater sky!!!
Thanks for the great words, I'll keep on representin'

Tim I love so many of the images that you have posted. I am Curious.. Could you put up a few of your own personal favorite images and the reason why.
Do not want to put you on the spot but I think almost all photographers have a bunch and have an emotional or technical reason they are our favorites.
example. My wife loves so many of my shots and I will show her one that for me is the best I have ever taken of a hummingbird and she looks at it and says. That one is O.K. But it is my own personal favorite because of a certain aspect of it.

Spectacular BE shot, Tim! Very fitting image for your 40K post. Karl's comments, which will always be more eloquent than mine, aptly sum up your positive contributions for the forum and the support you generously provide to us shooters in need tutoring. You've been a big help to me, an inspiration in terms of skills to strive for, and all-star comtributor tothis terrific forum. Looking forward to your next 40K!

Congratulations Tim on 40,000 posts!
Your words exactly sum up this forum - very well written, I'm sure many will
second your thoughts.
Your choice of image is particularly apt in my view, a wonderful shot that is typical of your work. You are one of the many photographers on this forum that have inspired me and shown me what is possible, setting standards that I hope to aspire to.
Thank you and looking forward to your next 40,000!
Paul
Thank you very much Paul. I shared my words because I care about the forum, it has been very good to so many of us, we need to remember that

Wonderful Eagle photo, may I ask what time of day this was taken?
You'll get there before you know it Mike! Thanks for the nice words. I always leave the exif info attached to posts here, I would suggest downloading an exif plugin for whichever browser you use, they come in handy This shot was taken at 9:25 AM
