The irony of my journey into photography is that I started out with the interest in learning to take better photos of my own children. As things progressed, I started to feel as though I was taking photos of everyone ELSE'S families and children, but not my own. I haven't had a family photo done in years (and several children) and even that was nothing more than a snapshot. I set aside any weird issues I have about carrying extra pregnancy weight still and recruited a dear friend of mine to help me get a family photo. I didn't care to have a whole varied gallery, I just wanted ONE photo of me with my loved ones. I'm not going to go into the amount of Photoshop work this required (it's 10 kids, you can probably imagine), but I LOVE this and wanted to share.

I can't get my head wrapped around having ten (10 !) children (for me the limit was two !)
great pic ... like all your pics, even the ones taken by someone else of you
Nice! I like the way the shirts stay roughly in the same color family. They are different but work well together.
My wife's grandparents had nine children. The first time she took me to Thanksgiving dinner with grandparents, children and spouses and grandchildren, 54 folks sat down to dinner!
Great soft lighting on this. It's a little too bunched up and crowded for my taste. The one that your husband is holding has such a great expression. I understand the "want" to have a perfect look on everyone's face. I actually like looking at large group photos and seeing the variety and spontaneity. There is a family photograph of a good part of our family that was taken when I was about 12. Out of the 50 or so people that got together, I'm clearly the only one not smiling. My brother and I were wrestling beforehand and he gave me a pummeling. It's hilarious to look back at the photo and it reminds me of that day.
Honest question, do you guys drive two cars everywhere?
This/you/you're family are so beautiful. And I don't want to think about how hard it was to get this photo done but I'm happy you did it. I love big families!! (working on my own ).
As a father of 1 (3 months old) I have no clue as to how in the heck you juggle 10 and still have time to do pictures! Either way this is a great image!
Its funny I keep coming back to look at this image. I love the color and light. In the 3-4 times I have viewed it I have each time counted each child to make sure all 10 are there.
A lovely family and photograph. The teals and grays work so well with the setting, and I like that everyone is not wearing the same color or identical clothing.
Your own photos always serve as inspiration to me...
