Harsha, blending job is well executed. The final result is a wonderful view.
Always good to review one's mental notes: going to be above 9,000 ft? Bring warm clothing.
Might be interesting to see a variation with a bit less exposure on the Bristlecone. ...just a thought
Harsha, beautiful image, I have a question for you : Do you need to blend with the tracker since you are shooting the long exposure for the MW or at 141 secs you were over exposed on the fg. I am thinking of looking into one so I am just curious I see that you light painted the tree and obviously used a significantly shorter exp for that image and I assume a lower ISO.. I am trying to figure if it would be practical or possible to shoot this image as one exposure at a low ISO with the tracker. Regards,
Dean
42 degrees? That's nice comfortable weather! It pays to always bring a heavy jacket when up in the mountains like that.
Nice work here, you blended this well.
Jim
Not when you have only a pair of shorts and a cotton T shirt. I was prepared for 100 degree weather in Bishop and was ignorant about the altitude change.
Thanks.

Another amazing night image, just perfect!
If you keep this up you will force me to invest in a tracking mount when I'm supposed to be saving money for the Zeiss 135mm APO!
Thanks. Yes so many toys to buy and so little money and time.
The great thing about the tracker is the ability to use a lower iso. The above image had no noise reduction done and over sharpen a little bit for web. The original image looks great on my 27" monitor. I am thinking of making a metal print at my wife's request. This is one of the few times she has asked me for a print for the house. I am thrilled.

Gorgeous image, worth a little discomfort.
Thanks Stan. I was going to spend the whole night out there but it became so cold I had to abort early.

Harsha,
I also think this is a stunning image.
And I had to smile at your being unprepared for 42 degrees at night .
Flatlanders from the great middle of the US (the part that feeds us all) are the nicest folks in the country. I spent years leading tour groups with people from all over the US, and mid-westerners were always the friendliest and politest.
But your understanding of deserts at 9 or 10,000 feet elevation is apparently lacking .
Next time pack a medium-weight jacket in your survival-in-the-wilds kit .
Okay- friendly teasing is over- and I am at a loss for adequate words to express all the positive thoughts I have about this image.
Where's my BIG thesaurus?
