Taken off the Oregon coast a few days ago. Look closely to see a 60 ft. waterfall pouring into the ocean. Doesn't get much more surreal than this I actually got quite a few shots this night in different types of light cant wait to process them all. This was the first shot I took when I got there. C and C welcome. Have a great day everyone!
Taken in Oceanside, OR.
3 shot blend for dynamic range.

Looks good. The orangey light really helps make up for the lack of cloud action IMO. Nice shot!
Thanks Mark when I look at this I think It could really benefit with some awesome clouds in it as well. The truth is, the image I had in my head (which I was able to capture) called for no clouds. I was actually waiting for a clear day on the coast believe it or not, and wanted to shoot a twilight scene of the place with stars. I thought with the waterfall in the background, stars, long exposure for water would almost look like a painting. I did get all the information for that shot and its on its way. This was just an unexpected bonus Thanks for the comment I appreciate it

I'm not to sure about that but thanks man.
Haha I dont know what it is, but I think so! Did you by chance hide the sun at all when taking your darker exposures, or does the 17-40 not produce much flare head on? I have a 17-40 but with the sun near the edges my shots were ruined without blocking it.

Man... what a cool shot! I love the composition and you worked light wonderfully. Your processing is right on, blending is great, it looks super! I am glad your thumb worked for blocking flares, I usually use my forefinger, I am thinking my thumb would block half the shot...
And definitely looking forward to your twilight shot. Boy... I can already anticipate how sweet that will look...

PS... it's very tempting to head over to Oregon now and just start driving the coast until I find this spot... man, that's one sweet location you have there!
Beautiful image Brian and well done with the blending. Really nice with all those golden highlights. No pressure but I'm looking forward to your awesome twilight image, judging from what you've posted previously.
