Light and shadows play nicely here Harsha. The comp is strong with these basic elements. That tree does so much for this shot IMO, incredible exposure and 'paint with light' treatment
Warmth in stone and wood and coolness in the sky work well here, super shot buddy!

,
I am liking landscape photography and especially night photography lately. The art of lightpainting need lots of practice to master. I have ways to go. Thanks for your comments Karl.

Beautiful shot Harsha. I think you nailed the light painting! And the cloud cover really enhances this. Congratulations on planning and the execution also.
Thanks for the kind word Craig. I am a big admirer of your light painting work. Keep them coming.

Nice shot! I got a nice one the other night myself with that moon. Its kinda cool to think we were all (alot of photographers) were shooting and looking at that moon from different places that night
Thanks. I enjoyed going through the different renditions of the same moon from different locations posted here.

Harsha- you found a nifty tree and a nifty rock and worked them both into a fine composition that included the moon.
Then you captured and processed the whole shebang with first-rate skill.
A good evening's work and a terrific image.
Charlie
Thank you very much Charlie.

Is that a tiny kokopelli on the far center horizon? Beautiful shot!
It sure looks like it. It is one of those desert plants. Thanks.

Beautiful shot Harsh.
I grew up near JTree and did research on rodents throughout the park for a year or so. I know this exact spot, and you really did it justice!
I love the composition and the way you used the tree and spire to frame the moon.... just excellent!

Thanks Bruce. I wanted the rock more towards and under the tree but that put the moon behind the branches of the juniper, so I settled for this composition. I guessed it worked out ok.

Very nicely executed! If you don't mind my asking, did you do anything special to add a twinkle to some of the stars?
Thanks. The star effect is from a set of actions(PS) that are used by astro imaging. I kind of like them but some don't.
