A few from the rolling field of Washington, Unfortunately haze and pollution hung low and made shooting much harder than I was hoping for. C&C welcome. Rick

Rick, #2 would be my pick even though its a tad on the soft side, with #3 (which is shaper) coming in a close second. How much wind were you experiencing when these shots were taken?

Matt, the wind was between15 - 30 most of the time on top, that coupled with the heavy dose of haze made shooting a challenge. Thanks for looking. Rick

Hey Rick,

Cool looking shots here even if the conditions were not the best. I think #3 and 4 are my favorites. I like the composition in #1, but it seems a little too dark to me.

Rick,
Steptoe can be challenging fighting the winds sometime. I've never been up top when there are 20 mph winds down below but I would image it'd be nasty up there. Nice captures, I especially like #3.

I like the softness that the haze produced--it's a different variation on the Palouse views. It provides a backlighting-type effect that highlights the top edges of the hills and makes the first and last image more pleasing to my eye than the two more sharply lit images, although I agree with Jim about the darkness.

Rick, the more I looked at these, the more I liked them. I think these are all great, but number 2 really draws me in and keeps me there. Nice!

Hi guys, Thank you very much for the comments.
Aaron, even though it was warm ( 50's) the wind chill made it feel like it was upper 30's. Glove and hat weather in June. Even weighting the tripod didn't work completely, as the soft comments have demonstrated.
Jim, thanks, yes it was a nice trip. first time for me, lived in Seattle all my life, go figure. Sorry we didn't hook up I hope you had a nice visits with family and got to see some of the state.
John, It seems I like darker images, but I will look again them. Thanks for the response.
Keith, Thank you, I'm glad you like them.
CW, The coolest thing about it was when the wind blows through there, the fields get a ocean like motion to them as the grass moves in a wave like concert fashion. It doesn't translate into stills well, but movie shows it well. It is almost mesmerizing.
vuczig, Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
