I miss that place. I lived in Santa Cruz for years and used to visit this beach often. Nice leading lines in the water and light on the arch. There will be some here who will object to the contrail in the sky, since it's a pretty strong element, but there wouldn't have been much you could do about that. The one thing I would recommend revisiting is the relative brightness between foreground and sky. The foreground is pretty bright, and the sky is a bit dark by comparison, which works against drawing the eye into the distance.
Very much a "Wow, I want to be there!" photo. Fantastic composition and great colours. I feel like I should be seriously impressed by what you are producing now if this is what you were doing when you were just starting out :P
I echo Phrasi's thoughts about the two areas of relative brightness- it looks a bit the opposite of what I expect it should.
Or maybe not .
Regardless, this is an excellent image, Yan.
Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you, Charlie. I will see what I can do.
I love what you have going on in this shot, the sweep of the water is just perfect. The two things that jumped out at me though was 1st, the bridge itself, the top of it seems too red, too saturated. I would tone that down some. The 2nd thing is on the left side it looks like a bird is cut in half along the edge. I would lose that, things cut off on edges can really be a distraction for the eye.
Other than that, very nicely done, especially for just starting out. You have a great eye.
