I just returned from a fishing trip up in Canada and for the first time ever I saw the Northern Lights. It was probably the most awesome thing that I have ever seen! Just a laser light show in the sky, the lights were moving, strobing & dancing all across the Northern sky. Truly a night that I will never forget!
No tripod, no DSLR, just the X100 from my coat pocket sat on top of some rocks.
That is a very cool display you found there. I really like #1. It's too bad you didn't have a better setup of gear, it always pays to take our gear with us. But you did well with what you had to shoot with, it certainly captured the scene well.

The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?
