p.1 #3 · Any alternate hood for contax 35mm f/1.4?
Contax made rubber rings too, less expensive than the metal ones.
There are also alternative step-up rings in metal on ebay, works like a charm but you'd still need the (metal) shade/hood. A thin one, #1 to #3 should be fine. I use them mainly for protection.
