Thanks, Ted! I have some girls' lax shots using this lens that I've been meaning to add. Maybe tomorrow. Although a confirmed prime shooter, I have to say that the range of this lens was seductive for field sports.

Hi Deborah,
Thanks for posting. Do you think you would also use this lens for indoor sports like basketball and volleyball or is it too slow? I might be able to stretch and get this lens but only if I sell my 300 AND 400 . . . Would this work as you only super tele for all sports?

I would think f4 and 200-400mm would not be good for shooting basketball or indoor volleyball
But those are good LAX shots
