Been doing a little scanning huh? I just discovered VueScan and it breathed new life into my ancient CanoScan FS4000US.

Thanks Goch, Ray, Tom and Chris.
Goch- 99% of my posts are scans of film- mostly slides.
I checked out ViewScan info from the inventor.
The two features he claimed were improvements with my scanner are two features that I don't use- so I didn't pursue it any further.
One is dust removal. The only way you can remove dust is physically. And that isn't a problem I have with my scanner- although I DO have problems with the scanner that I have to compensate for in processing.
My scanner is an EpsonPerfection V500 Photo. A year or two old.
