But other than silliness- what the heck is the store trying to do?
In seven trips to China- I never saw silliness. The whole country was too serious for silly.

Thanks everyone! You know, I dont even remember what's in that store. It was not terribly interesting except for the figures in front.
You are right Charlie, most places in China are far more serious than this. This area in the image is a massive tourist area so is very much outside of the mainstream.
