If what you want is "the look", and you're not worried about critical image quality, then yes, the Lens Turbo should work for you.
Don't buy it if you're worried about distortion or curvature of field, or mushy corners wide open.
I think of it as another arrow in my quiver. I'm learning the limitations and as I do I'm becoming happier with it all the time. It's definitely a keeper. It's not perfect but it's a great way to get some beautiful looks in photos. Like any tool, learn what it does and doesn't do and work with that knowledge to get the best results. I'm extremely happy with mine, quirks and all.

I am about the pull the trigger on this.
All I need is to be able to use my fd 28/2 at f2.8 and my 55/1.2 @f1.4, and not for landscape. Am I expecting too much? Or this should do it for me?
I tried my fd 24mm f2.8 and was not pleased with the results. Which led me to conduct further tests with Lens Turbo, you can read my conclusion here: http://www.mirrorlessworld.com/?p=6265
It seems many people in this thread are expecting FAR too much from a $135 piece of glass. From what I'm seeing if used properly/reasonably and not at f/1.0, in other words, expecting totally epic shots all the time at all apertures, then the results seem perfectly acceptable. If you're sitting in a room doing studio test shots complaining about the corner sharpness of some test sheet, I'm sorry but you're missing the point of this piece of equipment.
I find myself using my NEX-6 more and more over my traditional SLRs that I own simply due to the compact nature. Now, with the added benefit of this piece of kit I'll have even more low light ability.
Sure you get some wonky flare... what were you expecting, given what this converter does?
Soft corners on some lenses? Who cares when you're getting wide bokeh-licious shots. Crop them a little if you're concerned about it, or go fire up your huge full frame monster and enjoy the bulk/weight.
I will be giving the lens turbo a try once it arrives in ~2 weeks on my NEX-6 and ZE50/1.4 and I'm very much looking forward to the added power it will bring to this combo. I figure I'll leave it at f/2 and go nuts.
I dig it. In response to my post here are the first shots from 15 minutes of playing with it outside with my dog. The ZE 50mm was at 1.4 so CA naturally was there and it was soft where there was white in the picture. I'm going to pop it on my 5d2 and stop it down to f/2 and go to town testing it today.
