Makabucha Day is a Buddhist holiday that takes place annually on the night of the full moon during the third lunar month of the year. This is from a temple (Wat Phantao) in Chiang Mai.

I liked the first one with the girl at the edge of the water ---- but when I scrolled down to the ones with the monks and the candles - double wow! Excellent low light shooting on your part. Many thanks for sharing this Holy Day observance.

Amazing! I enjoyed all the pictures.
The floating pieces of wood look like they are banana (or plantain) trees cut into pieces. Am i right?
