This is from a favorite spot to visit near home.
At the top of a climb, the pasture land gets bathed in dusk light about 1/2 hour before sunset. Though the sun drops behind the hills to the west, the color just 'starts" to change. I think the Fall is the best time as the "notch" in the hlll to the west gets aligned with the sun so its a bit lower (3rd shot).
These are slightly different comps as well as I am trying something different on the revisits.
These are all MF film shots, RZ67, Ektar 100
Either 65mm or 50mm, at f8 or f11 for sharpness.
Since these are scanned film & I'm a bit color-blind, struggle to get the color right.
So the usual requests for critique & comment.
If you think the color isn't right, say so!
Thanks
Dan

Dan,
My color vision is fine- but I've been a slide shooter all my life, and like saturated colors .
#1 is really excellent.
#2 the composition doesn't do much for me.
#3 I like also.
Overall, I thing some brightness/contrast might help all of these.
Such as #3:

I like! The warm colors and composition are very nice. On my monitor the sky and distant hillside have a slight cyan cast. Local contrast in shadow values might be enhanced by shooting at half the ISO rating (sorry, I am a Zone System Nerd). I hope to shoot film again soon! Thanks for posting!
Thanks for the C&C.
Always something to try/learn.
Steve, I thought about pushing it a bit more. I did overexpose 1/2 stop but should have gone for a full. Neg film is more tolerant.
Charlie, #1 is also my favorite. I agree on #2. I will return in the Fall to see if the light is better.
