Ratty, I'm ambivalent about this, although I see potential according to my criteria.
IMO it might benefit from big crops on top and both sides. The background doesn't seem to do much.
I'd also like the main flower to be a bit more sharply focused. I understand you want the image to be dreamy- and that's a matter of degree.
Just $.02 though .

I'm not sure about your setup, but for me I have to sharpen ALL my scans- even though the slides are Kodachrome sharp.
And about 50% of the images I see posted could also benefit from pp sharpening.
Just opinion, of course .

Hey Charlie,
When you miss focus as bad as i did here, no sharpening level can help!!
No worries, I just posted it because I sort of liked the dreamy affect. I am going out again today to practice with the "new" camera (Nikon FM2). I'm rust at manual focus.
