p.1 #1 · Replacement foot for 500 M1

And soon 200-400 (I hope)

Reading threads there seems to be consciences that the RRS foot is best (especially since I want to use it as a handle)

Is there anything new out there?

Any tricks to remove the foot? Tried a while ago and I could only could remove 1 screw.

Thanks

The foot came off my 500/4L IS without too much bother. As long as you have a really good fit with the Allen key, you should be able to exert considerable force. OTOH, if it remains stubborn, maybe a drop of penetrating oil and a few hours wait could free it up.

I use the RRS foot, too. I was thinking about replacing it with a low profile 4th Generation Design foot, but after carrying it while wearing really heavy gloves this past winter, I figure I'll stick with the RRS. The gloves wouldn't fit under a lower profile foot.
