I found one marmot so I thought it was cute and was photographing it. Then two others jostled and pushed their way out of their little home to see what the fuss was all about.
They are kind of like land otters. They seem to push and wrestle a bit for fun.
I just thought it was funny how they came out to study me.

Lil, it was just auto ISO. I'd had the camera speed set on 1/2500 and that's where it was when these guys surfaced. So the camera bumped it up a little. After several shots I realized the shutter speed was too high and brought that down to 1/800 on other shots.
They are cute, gotta hand it to them. We call them Rock Chucks up in Idaho. I had to pop in to see what a Marmot actually looked like. Didn't realize, I didn't know till I saw the post topic. Funny. . .
