A walk around some of the hills in N. Wales with my infrared modified Canon 60D, a bag of lenses and tripod. The original sensor filters have been removed and replaced with a 665nm IR blocking filter. I used a custom white balance for all of the images.
Converted to tiff in Canon DPP and then post processed in Photoshop with a raw presharpen and noise reduction, converted to black and white using channels, local curves and levels adjustments then resized and resharpened for display.
the landscape colours in the area are fairly muted at the moment so it was ideal to play with the IR camera. It's also a weak excuse to use the camera as I've only had it for a few weeks so I'm using it as much as possible to get to grips with the exposure adjustment and trying to pre-visualise the scenes before capturing them.
