I love the whole set, Birdie.
But the two damselflies mating is quite the unusual image. At the very least, they are pretty good contortionists.
And I can't even imaging how such fertilization actually works.
Charlie
Looks like on #1 you had terrible light next time, try to stay f5.6 to see what happens. The last two are my favorites but there is something about #2 that is intriguing . Either (just a tad) darken the fore ground or the bg.
2 and last are my picks and beauties as they have the best sharpness Roberta
Morris
Thanks Morris, need to get back in shape for holding the 500 still
Nice set, Birdie, with the last one being my favorite.
Socrate
Thank you very much Socrate.

Vow!!!Great serie. I vote for nr 3 the demsels??
Bob

2 and 3 for me Birdie, nice colors
-Tim
Thank you Tim
sweet stuff Roberta.. the last two for me also
Thank you so much Kenny , appreciate it.
This is a lovely set, Birdie, and, eye-opening for me, as I am usually so challenged with warm-blooded creatures that I don't think about plants and insects. (Plus, I thought I didn't have a macro lens; after looking at your set, I realize I do!)
I think the composition in all of them is terrific, but my favorite (because it's so sharp and because it's not my usual fare) is #2.
Greg
Thank you Greg, glad you like them. I honestly had not tried the 500 for this type of shot before . I am pleasantly surprised at the detail .
I always look forward to your hummer shots and you came through again. As for this wonderful set of images, Roberta, I must say that #2 is truly outstanding.
Al
Thank you Al for the nice words. I do appreciate it.
Very nice, are you using extension tubes?
Thank you Dean. No extension tube on these, just the bare lens.
Terrific shots Birdie, well done with all
David
Thank you David. You have some wonderful red damsels on your side of the pond
Birdie, all are very nice and #2 is my favorite.
Chris
Thanks so much Chris !
2 blew me away Birdie, are there anymore besides 2 Wow that is a beauty of a shot, stupendous job!!! Really nice high ISO work and the bugs are your normal high quality macro work. You sure are firing on all cylinders with this set
Tim
Tim, you make me blush Thank you for the very generous words.
