After finally getting a D800E, I find myself retaking many of the photos that I had previously taken with the trusty D300s. I made it back to Cologne, Germany and managed to get a decent shot of the very impressive Dom cathedral. I can't imagine the effort it took to build it.

That's a good question. Here is the closest image I could find with the D300s that matches up with the D800E pic. Not an exact side-by-side comparison as they were taken at different times of the year but as close as I could find. I think the D300s holds up pretty well.
