Stopped by the nest after work and witnessed one of the fledglings take it's first flight. Went in a 200 yard circle and landed in the nest. Went out two more times and landed in a tree until the daddy bird came by with a meal which brought it back to the nest to eat. The second bird was flapping but decided not to go yet, maybe tomorrow,

Ah, you got to see the wonderful moment of the little one taking flight. I’ve had the pleasure once and it just lifted off the nest and came back down. My favorite from the set is first landing as the expression on the sibling is great. All are good including the red wing and the dove.
